The Security Guard Course is the first step to getting your SIA Security Guarding Licence, which allows you to work in the private security industry as a Security Officer.
Security Officers can work in a wide variety of roles, including static guarding, manned guarding and key-holding.
Our Level 2 Security Officer course is designed for those who are considering working as a security officer for the private sector.
On successful completion of the Level 2 Security Officer course, delegates will gain the following qualifications:

Courses can be conducted at other locations providing they meet the requirements Government guidelines in relation to Covid-19 requirements.
Cost of course: £190.00+VAT, plus £60.00 for First Aid Training if you don’t yet have a valid certificate.

FIRST AID REQUIREMENT – From 01 April 2021 learners taking their Security Officer training for the first time will need to show that they hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate*. This must meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The certificate must be valid for at least 12 months from the start of the course.
# For those without First Aid qualifications it is anticipated we will be able to offer this as part of the qualification but must be completed successfully before the security officer training commences.
NOTE: Remember, Security Guard licence holders cannot work in licensed premises that serve alcohol, which is another reason why we recommend the SIA Door Supervisor Licence Course. It often proves an investment that opens you up to more job prospects.
