Top-up training is a compulsory 2-day additional training to renew your SIA license. SIA is changing the way that Security Guard and Door Supervisor Licenses are renewed from the 1st of October 2021.
This 2-Day classroom ‘Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Top-Up RQF)’ course is designed for Security Operatives who currently hold a license from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Door Supervisor and need to be bought up to date with the NEW Licence Linked qualification requirements that also came in from 01st April 2021 for new Security Operatives.
Course Length:
2-days (17 GLH) in total consisting of 2 days in the classroom. You will also be required to complete the Principles of Terror Treat Awareness Module prior to the commencement of the course. See details below. If you choose not to complete the module below you will have to complete this as part of the course requirements.
First Aid: The SIA have stipulated that you MUST be in possession of an approved First Aid Qualification with a minimum of 12 months left to run on the first day of the course. If you require a First Aid Course, please let us know and we will arrange this for you.
This qualification is assessed by practical demonstrations, questions, and answers, 3 multiple choice exams.
The Principles of Terror Threat Awareness Module This is a mandatory unit of the top-up training. You can complete this unit prior to the start of class by completing the unit online see all the details below. Successful candidates will receive a ‘Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Industry (Top Up RQF)’ qualification, which sits on the regulations Framework (RQF). The RQF is a Qualification Framework regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation.
