This Autism Awareness training course will help you understand more about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and how these affect the children that you work with.

Upon completion, you will know how to identify the signs of autism and understand how you can support an autistic child in your setting. The course will help you to recognise the challenges that autistic children face so that you can help them reach their full potential.

Who should take this course?
This course is suitable for anyone whose job role requires them to work with autistic children, whether it’s on a full-time, part-time or voluntary basis. This includes activity leaders, charity workers, carers and childminders.

The course is also suitable for parents, guardians, and family members of autistic children. This course will provide a greater understanding of autism and how to help an autistic child. It is designed at an introductory level, and no previous knowledge is needed.

At the end of this course, you will understand:
